About

GoKulturely's Research Team produces the articles on this blog. We are a cross-cultural research and editorial group, not a single named expert, so we make no claim to individual academic titles we cannot stand behind. Our analysis draws on established, publicly documented frameworks: Geert Hofstede's six dimensions of national culture, the GLOBE study of leadership and societal culture across more than 60 societies, Edward T. Hall's work on high-context and low-context communication, and Fons Trompenaars' model of cultural dimensions. We combine these with country-level business-etiquette research and the patterns we observe in GoKulturely's negotiation simulations and deal-prep tools. Every cultural score or claim we publish is attributed to its source, and we flag when a figure is an estimate rather than an official measurement. GoKulturely is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these researchers or the organizations that publish their work; we reference their frameworks for education and analysis only. Our goal is practical: to help Sales VPs, HR directors, and global team leaders make better decisions before a negotiation, a hire, or a market entry, without resorting to stereotypes. When the research is mixed or evolving, we say so. We update articles as frameworks and data change, and we welcome corrections from practitioners with firsthand experience in the markets we cover.
